Had a fever ...

Last night, when I got home (we didn't even help take down all the stuff for the Journey to Bethlehem), I took my temperature and it was 101.5. No wonder I felt so lousy, still do, had to work the service this morning ... I'm really tired now. Everyone is telling me that I should not go into work tomorrow, I couldn't do that to Charles.

Missed "Journey to Bethlehem" ...

Oh boy. I didn't feel well yesterday, or today for that matter. Bad enough, in fact, that I stayed home from Journey to Bethlehem. I am going to go tonight, but I really don't feel well. I'm going to chill out for a little while before I have to move around.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday, honey! Today, all day, is your birthday. Another year of wisdom and folly? Maybe. We have had an interesting and difficult year, but, we have gotten through it. Things will only get better. Besides, it's YOUR birthday. Too bad we have to spend it at rehearsal. Not just rehearsal, the FINAL rehearsal before going live tomorrow. I haven't been feeling well today, but the show must go on. Exit, stage left.

Pearl Harbor Day

Today, is a day that will live in infamy ...

Pearl Harbor Day. Thanks to all of our troops and military personnel. We wouldn't be here without you. May God bless you and keep you all safe.

Speaking of God, Katie has accepted Christ on this day in 2003. Happy birthday Katie.

Not feeling so well ...

Today, I stayed home from church. I was sick. I was feeling better in the afternoon, but I still stayed in bed (or couch) all day. I was able to migrate to the couch in the afternoon, Kelle and Katie were working on Katie's book report (I think), Matthew was playing in the spare-room-soon-to-be-Katie's-room on the computer. I asked him if he wanted to watch a "guy movie" with me. Boy was he excited. We watched The Patriot. What a good movie, full of good things for guys, like standing up for what you believe in, say, maybe, YOUR COUNTRY. Dying for what you believe in and things of that nature. He actually stayed with it the entire time. He kept trying to show me how tough he was by saying what he "would have done differently" if it was him in the "whatever" scene. How, maybe, he would have jumped over the cannonball flying at him. It was awesome.

Well, I went to the "Journey to Bethlehem" rehearsal this morning and took Matthew and Katie with me. They were supposed to hang around and be my audience ... that didn't really work out. They ended up playing with one of the other kids there. Oh well. I really needed help with my lines. Here's what I did: I used my text-to-speach software to convert the play into spoken words, then put it on my MP3 player. Ta da, now I can actually read the lines back and get my part right. I have less than a week to practice. The only place that I can practice is in the car.

Earliest recorded snow in area ... ever.

Oh, boy. It's snowing outside. Nothing says "nightmare" like a Texas driver in the snow.

The first blog of (hopefully) many

Well, things are interesting at the Neveu household. Kelle's birthday is in a few days (I was told not to spend any more money on her). What can I do? She is my beautiful bride. Anyway. This being the first entry onto my blog, I don't really know what to put here.

I am truly annoyed about something, so I'll write about that. We have recently made an appointment for my son to find out what some of his allergies are. The doctor's office called a few days ago and RESCHEDULED the appointment. We have had to have my son pee in a cup, where they will probably stockpile it for some sort of weapon of mass distruction or something. He still has one more test to do, he has to stay off of some particular foods for a week, then we FedEx the container to a doctor somewhere ... anyway, we timed it so the appointment would be AFTER the final test is sent out. I think that just makes sense, if you want to find out the results of a test, you TAKE THE TEST FIRST. Then you have your appointment and the doctor gives you the results. They reschedule the appointment to be a week earlier (cup hasn't been peed in at this point), and, without telling us or getting any input at all, proceed with the reschedule.

Kelle called the doctor's office and they tell him that the next available appointment is in ... get ready for it ... three months.

?WHAT?

My wife goes back and forth with them, telling this woman on the phone that it doesn't make sense to "keep this appointment" and "you changed the schedule, why do I have to suffer for it" and what-not. The woman asks if she would like to reschedule, my wife says yes, next available is in ... four months.

... I don't know what to say.

Happy birthday, honey. Don't worry, the headache eventually goes away.
